Mushrooms and black humor in lethal doses: Jussi Vatanen tries to find his own murderer in the adaptation of Tuomainen's bestseller "The Last Meters to the Graveyard". "Fargo" sends its regards.
In seven languages Antti Toumainen's bestseller "The Man Who Died"
has now been translated, in Germany as "The Last Meters to the Cemetery". This makes him one of the most internationally successful Finnish authors, his story reminiscent of "Dead On Arrival" the ideal template for pitch-black Nordic crime fare. Here, Jaako, an entrepreneur in the mushroom business, learns of his impending demise, which he claims is due to poisoning. But he doesn't want to say goodbye quite so easily. Especially since his wife is also cheating on him, the competition is not sleeping and the Japanese mushroom market wants to be conquered. Not to mention solving his own murder.
