Back to the future: After the end of “Picard”, it’s now the 2nd time with Captain Christopher Pike in the early days of Federal Space Exploration. Beam us up!
Unlike, for example, at DC (or in the failed Monster Universe from Universal) one has at CBS or Paramount quite obviously understood how to deal with legendary figures and build a coherent serial universe. Just recently, "Picard" and the entire TNG crew were given an exit that one could not wish for more beautifully and before that, "Discovery" was all about female power (and Michelle Yeoh) and brought Kirk predecessor Christopher Pike back from the dead. And now it s time for the second time to explore "Strange New Worlds" for said Pike, who should actually be crushed by the vision of his own end. But it doesn t. Instead it goes with Mr. Spock and his Number One (Rebecca Romijn) to the last limits and beyond whereby it is rumored that in the episode for which Jonathan Frakes is responsible it should even come to a crossover with "Lower Decks" . Tones of joy, run along already...!!
