In Israel in 2008, the media are once again warning of an imminent Hamas attack. For Israelis of Arab descent like Wardeh, Qais and Saleh, this is a problem because they are consequently attacked and stigmatized as criminals. Nevertheless, they set out to find party drugs and run afoul of a Palestinian drug lord who makes the three debt-ridden students his unwilling accomplices in the impending drug distribution war.
Already in the acclaimed "Fauda," the series creators strove to create a reasonably balanced tension between the Israeli and Palestinian sides. While the creators here were still Israeli, this time the creative focus of the Palestinian-Israeli co-production is on the Palestinian side. This allows for unusual and highly interesting insights into the unbroken smouldering conflict, but also allows for humour. And it shows that it is possible to work together productively, at least on a cultural level.
