What in Mike Judge's "Idiocracy" leads to the complete dumbing down of humanity as a "natural" development is a devastating pandemic in the Norwegian "Dumbsday". It lowers the intelligence of those infected to infant level and, thanks to high infection rates and rapid progression, causes (not only) the whole of Norway to virtually wipe itself out in no time at all. What remains after this apocalypse of brainlessness is a bunch of averagely gifted loser types, on whose shoulders the future of intelligence lands. Or that of humanity. And that, as we know not only in Norway, is not necessarily one and the same. For once, we'll dispense with the mask requirement and hygiene measures and hope you enjoy the downfall!
