Seriencamp is much more than just our conference and annual festival with A temporary streaming platform Seriencamp Watchroom! Everything started in the year 2015 in Munch at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF) - a local film school for television and film. Since 2023 we are now at home in Cologne.
Throughout the year, we cooperate with partner festivals all over Germany and are always happy to contribute our experience and expertise in "series".
Since 2018, SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL has been working together with Munich International Film Festival, one of Germany’s most important film festivals. In the context of this partnership, SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL is curating the series programme of the biggest German summer film festival, presenting the most recent and exciting international productions.
Since 2019, the SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL has been a partner of the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. The programme of the Reeperbahn Festival combines an international musical line-up with formats in the field of the visual arts and virtual reality as well as a diverse range of literature and films. Every year, we are responsible for curating the series programme, showing the most exciting new productions at Europe's biggest interdisciplinary festival.
In 2019, the Seriencamp Festival held their first guest appearance at the Queer Film Festival Munich, a festival brought into being in 2015 by volunteer film aficionados aiming to bring more diversity and acceptance onto the big screen in Munich. Since then, the SERIENCAMP FESTIVAL has been curating the festival’s colourful series programme each year.
The festival with the ominous name "Serial Killer Festival" has quickly become one of the most important events on the subject of series in Europe. With a focus on productions from Eastern Europe, Southeastern Europe and Russia, the festival highlights current developments every year. Since 2019, both festivals have been cooperating with each other in terms of content.
