This year, our festival will be held for real again at the beautiful ARRI Cinema and ASTOR Lounge. For this special occasion we have prepared an exciting and diverse program for you.
On Friday, November 12 at 7:00 pm we start the festival and the evening with the series Aus die Maus, a comedy series about a pet funeral parlor and an actress disgraced by a scandal, who hires in this institute, but which backfires quite quickly. As a special treat on top there's a Q&A with cast & Crew!
At 21:00 clock it goes on with the German premiere of Dopesick. With Michael Keaton and Rosario Dawson in the lead roles, the opioid crisis in the U.S. as a thriller drama gripping and touching staged.
The Saturday we start a little earlier. At 2:45 p.m., the first two episodes of the submarine whodunnit Vigil will run. The new murder mystery drama from the "Bodyguard" makers.
Continue with Sløborn. The second season of the ZDF hit series by Christian Alvart deals with the so ubiquitous pandemic in a thrilling way. Immediately afterwards you have the exclusive opportunity to ask the producer Timm Oberwelland in a Q&A still questions.
After a short break, the crashed dart professional Eddi, played by Florian Lukas wants to make his old nickname "The Wasp" in the eponymous series again all honor. And he tries to do that starting at 7:30 p.m.
The festival concludes at 9:15 p.m. with The Sleeper 2. The lay judge Charlie Menzinger, played by Markus Stoll ("Harry G"), returns to the Munich district court against his will to be reunited with his judge. But in doing so, he encounters resistance.
Of course, the festival wouldn't be complete without exciting panels and discussions. From 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. we will talk about the fascination of the many True Crime formats at our True Crime panel with court reporter Gisela Friedrichsen and Emanuel Rotstein from the channel Crime + Investigation, using the example of Surviving R. Kelly.
Directly afterwards at 6:30 p.m. we ask our critics* to take the stage. Patrick Heidmann (film critic, e.g. Spiegel, Zeit), Hanna Huge (Serienjunkies), Daniel Schröckert (Rocket Beans TV) and Emily Thomey (Glotz und Gloria: The Series Podcast) talk about selected series from our lineup, tell what surprised or disappointed them, and pick the Critics' Choice winning series. Of course with lots of tips for you and upcoming binge nights.
We are looking forward to welcoming all series lovers on site again and to watch and discuss the program together.
