In the current industry atmosphere, it seems more important than ever to give young filmmakers, writers and creatives opportunities to hone their skills. Since 2021, RTL+ has been cooperating with seven German film schools in the form of the Storytellers program. Film school students pitch their ideas for Young Adult-series, a jury of young but established filmmakers selects the winning project that gets a straight-to-series order for RTL+.
The program has proven to be a successful training ground - not only as a launch pad for young talent but also as a growing network of young professionals that meet during the Storytellers Klassenfahrt (class trip).
