Simon Steinhorst was born in 1985 in Starnberg and grew up in Austria. After studying at the European Film College in Denmark, he completed his studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in 2013 and has since worked as an actor and freelance filmmaker. He has been performing with the theater group SIGNA since 2011 on various stages across Europe, most recently in 2022 in the production Die Ruhe at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, which was also invited to the Theatertreffen of the Berliner Festspiele in 2022. The ensemble was awarded the Nestroy Prize for the play Wir Hunde at the Wiener Festwochen. In 2016, his acting work on the show NEO MAGAZIN ROYALE for the segment Verafake earned a Grimme Prize. In recent years, he has worked on various film and television productions.
