From 2010 to 2014, Sabine Voltmann studied at a private film university in Dortmund and fulfilled her dream of making a real, personal short film titled "R.A.D.i.O." She learned an incredible amount in the process— especially about how not to do things—and experimented in various departments, with screenwriting and directing always being her main interests. With her graduation film "Leben lassen" she earned her diploma in co-direction, but initially found herself somewhat lost without contacts in the active industry, unsure of how to enter the professional world.
In 2015, she gained her first experience on a professional film set with an internship in directing at "Alarm für Cobra 11," and from then on, she repeatedly worked as an extras coordinator and second assistant director, but also got to know various sets as an extra. Creatively, she expressed herself on the side by creating showreels for actor friends and other video projects such as a YouTube comedy series, a project for the city of Datteln, recording a musical, and other small commissioned videos in the fields of directing and editing. However, the dream of her own feature film is still pending. With her current project, she has her first international assignment (in Belgium) as a 3rd AD (Assistant Director) for the TV series "The Dinosaur Club."
