Marco Kreuzpaintner began his career with critically acclaimed feature films such as the coming-of-age drama Summer Storm, Krabat, The Collini Case and the Roland Emmerich-produced Trade - Welcome to America starring Academy Award winner Kevin Kline. He created and directed the Amazon Prime crime series Beat, set in the underground club world of Berlin, and now lives and works in London. He has directed and executive produced TV shows such as The Lazarus Project, Soulmates, and the Netflix/DC Comics limited series Bodies, based on the graphic novel of the same name. Alongside his longtime friend and mentor Emmerich, Marco Kreuzpaintner directed five of the ten episodes of the new Peacock spectacle Those About to Die, starring Anthony Hopkins and Iwan Rheon.
