Johanna Kraus is a commissioning editor at MDR with extensive experience in the television industry. Since 2021, she has held the position of Redaktionsleiterin Fernsehfilm MDR and is a member of the ARD Koordination Fiktion. With a background as a gehobene Redakteurin in the Hauptredaktion Fernsehfilm, Serie und Kinder MDR, she has led the Polizeiruf 110 series and contributed to the development and management of notable projects such as Charité, ZERV, and Die unheimliche Leichtigkeit der Revolution. Prior to her role at MDR, she worked as a freelance editorial contributor and gained experience in production assistance at Network Movie Film- und Fernsehproduktion. Johanna Kraus holds a Master's degree in Media Studies from the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Konrad Wolf in Potsdam and a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies from the Philipps-Universität in Marburg.
