Cassandra Han is an American casting director living in Europe since 2003. Based in Munich with another office in Italy, she is currently casting the sequel to DER MEDICUS by Philipp Stölzl for Zeitsprung and just finished a German-language feature for Netflix (NDA). Recent credits include the feature film SAMIA by Yasemin Şamdereli, which will premiere in international competition at Tribeca in June; German casting for Assaf Gil’s upcoming Israeli series THE GERMAN (yes/Lionsgate); two new installments of the DIE DREI ??? franchise (Wiedemann & Berg); the six-part Paramount+ series EINE BILLION DOLLAR (Wiedemann & Berg); Akson Studio’s feature film CHOPIN (StudioCanal) and a new historical drama for Oskar Roehler in addition to his satire BAD DIRECTOR. Casting Italy: James Mangold’s Oscar-winning FORD VS FERRARI, Terrence Malick’s A HIDDEN LIFE (2019 Cannes) and Gaumont’s hit Netflix series BARBARIANS. UK Casting: the upcoming Italian series MISS FALLACI for Paramount+ and STORIA DELLA MIA FAMIGLIA for Netflix. President of the European Board of Governors of the Casting Society (CSA), Cassandra is a Board member of the ICDA, a founding member of WIFTM Italy and a member of the German and European film academies. Jury member for the 2021 Berlinale Shooting Stars. A founding member of Ethan Hawke’s NY theater company Malaparte back in the 1990s, she holds an MFA in acting from Trinity Rep.
