Benjamina Mirnik-Voges is VP Original Productions at The Walt Disney Company (Germany) GmbH and responsible for the curation, development and production of local content for the streaming platform DISNEY+ (incl. STAR) in the German-speaking market.
Prior to Disney, she was Managing Director of Entertainment One Germany GmbH (eOne Germany) and responsible for setting up and building the German subsidiary of Toronto-based international media group, Entertainment One. Before eOne, she was head of local productions and acquisitions at Universum Film (then a subsidiary of broadcaster RTL Group) for almost 11 years. She started her media career at German TV- and film production company Gemini Film in 2002 and has been active in a wide variety of areas in the entertainment industry since, including founding production company Ariel Films and co-producing the feature film LEBANON, which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2007.
Benjamina graduated from law school in London and trained at and worked for the international law firm Simmons & Simmons in the London head office as well as the Shanghai office. She specialised in commercial law. She also holds an MBA degree from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
